Yes, this solution also works quite well and we have at least one customer with this configuration who has been using our software for more than three years. All that is required is that you purchase a server running Microsoft Windows 2000 or 2003 in Terminal Server mode. Please see the answer to the question 6 above for information regarding the server specifications. Microsoft has a free program for OS X called Remote Desktop Connection that allows the Macintosh user to connect to the Windows Server and run our software.
